Patient history

• 54 yr old female
• Woke with dull right parietal headache but nil else. Husband thought slow speech but later was normal. In afternoon sudden onset of slurred speech, left sided weakness.
• Involved in minor automobile accident the week before
• Past History – hypothyroid, bunions – no vascular risk factors
• Medication – thyroxine
